Who we are

NexxusCRM is made by Infinity Loop Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us"). These terms are between you and us. They cover the NexxusCRM Mac app, the NexxusCRM iPhone app, the optional sync service, and this website.

Your licence

We give you a personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable licence to install and use the Mac app and the iPhone app on devices you own or control. You may use them for personal or business purposes.

The apps are licensed, not sold. We keep all rights in them that these terms do not give you.

You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the apps, or make them available for others to download. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble them, except to the extent the law allows you to whatever these terms say.

Beta software

NexxusCRM is in beta. Features may change, appear or disappear between versions, and things may break. A new version may change your database when it first opens.

Keep backups. The app has its own: it can write an encrypted backup file by hand or on a schedule, and it makes one before it changes your database. Keep copies somewhere other than the Mac they came from.

Your data

Your data is stored on your devices, encrypted with a key that comes from your passphrase. We do not have that passphrase or that key. If you lose your passphrase and your recovery key, we cannot get your data back for you.

The sync service

iPhone sync is optional. It uses a relay that we run to pass encrypted changes between your devices. During the beta it is provided as is. We may change it, limit it, pause it or withdraw it, and we will try to tell you first.

Everything you sync is encrypted on your devices with a sync key that never comes to us. We cannot read what the relay holds, and we cannot recover it. If you lose the sync key (for example, by removing sync from every device that holds it), the copy on the relay can no longer be read by anyone, and it is gone for good. Your data on your Mac is not affected.

Do not use the sync service to attack, overload or probe the relay, or to store anything other than NexxusCRM's own data.

Services you connect

NexxusCRM can connect to services run by other people: your email provider, your calendars, AI providers such as OpenAI compatible services and Anthropic, Things 3, feeds and others. Your use of each of them is under its own terms and privacy policy, not ours. When you connect one, the app talks to it directly from your device, and what you send it is a matter between you and that service. We are not responsible for those services, or for what they do with your data.

Other people's data

NexxusCRM holds information about other people: your contacts, their messages, notes you write about them. For that information, you decide what is collected and why, so under data protection law (such as the UK GDPR) you are the controller, not us. It is your responsibility to have a lawful basis for keeping it and to use it lawfully, including answering the people it concerns if they ask what you hold.

Because the data never reaches us in a form we can read, we do not process it on your behalf.

Acceptable use

You may use NexxusCRM for any lawful purpose. You may not use it to harass people, to send spam, or to break the law.

Intellectual property

The NexxusCRM name, logo and apps belong to Infinity Loop Ltd. You may not use our trademarks without written permission. Your data belongs to you.

Warranty

We make reasonable efforts to make the apps and the sync service work as described. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, they are provided "as is", without any promise that they will be uninterrupted, free of errors, or fit for a particular purpose.

If you use NexxusCRM as a consumer, you also have rights under the law that these terms cannot take away, including that digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of data, profits, business, revenue or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss, however it arises. If you use NexxusCRM for business, our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for NexxusCRM in the twelve months before the claim, or £100.

If you use NexxusCRM as a consumer, we are only responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

Ending this licence

You can stop at any time by deleting the apps. To have your account on the sync relay removed as well, email us.

We may end your licence, or your access to the sync service, if you break these terms in a serious way. When the licence ends, you must stop using the apps. Your data stays yours: it remains on your devices, and you can export it first.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you consent to receiving emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add features or when the law changes. We will change the date at the bottom of this page, and tell you of important changes by email if we have your address. If you keep using NexxusCRM after a change, the new terms apply. If you do not agree to them, stop using the apps.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own part of the UK.
