Compare

Dex and Folk, for one person

Dex is a personal CRM with apps for everything. Folk is a CRM for sales teams that plenty of freelancers use on their own. Both are cloud services, priced per seat. NexxusCRM is for one person, on one Mac, with the data kept there. Here is how the three compare, including where the other two are the better choice.

Choose Dex if

  • you want apps on every platform, Android and Windows included
  • LinkedIn is where your network lives, and you want it synced
  • you want research briefings on people, done for you

Choose Folk if

  • you sell, and want a pipeline, enrichment and email sequences
  • you work with a team and want to share contacts
  • you want your data kept in the EU

Choose NexxusCRM if

  • you work alone and want your network on your Mac, encrypted
  • you want iMessage and WhatsApp history in each contact
  • you want AI that can run entirely on your own Mac
  • you would rather not pay per seat for a team of one

Where NexxusCRM falls short

  • It runs on a Mac, with an iPhone app. No Windows, Android or web app.
  • Gmail connects with an app password, not Google sign in. Google Calendar is not in the beta.
  • LinkedIn comes in through a browser bridge, one profile at a time, not a full sync.
  • No enrichment: no job changes, company data or research done for you.
  • No team sharing. It is for one person, on purpose, but that will not suit everyone.
